This is the greatest publishing company ever, and I did my research before deciding to go with First Edition Design. The customer service could not have been better, Debi really cared about my book getting published and was prompt with email replies to my many questions, concerns and ideas. Not only that, she treated me like a personal acquaintance and made the professional relationship superbly rewarding. My first book was published in no time. I am thrilled with the experience!

I searched far and wide just to find First Edition Design Publishing and Debi Gordon. It took them both for me to realize a dream I’ve had form over 30 years, I can’t say enough about how courteous and responsive she was to me, and answered every question I asked clearly. Their work is superb and that’s not enough to describe how I really feel. I’ve already sent out the word to many of my family members and they are already on the job spreading the good news about First Edition Design in Omaha, Nebraska, Atlanta, Georgia and Toledo, Ohio. Just a beginning. Thanks Debi
Love the cover very much.

Deciding to self publish can be an overwhelming decision. First Edition eases you through the process. The staff is professional and friendly. If you have a question you get an answer! Deborah E. Gordon’s cover art of my novel, Gem, is striking, and always draws glowing comments from readers. I am still stunned that I made the decision to publish. Wow! I did it! You can do it! Thank you David, Jessica, Deborah, Tom, Karen, and everyone else at FE.

Working with FEDP was a very pleasant experience. I had previously sold my first work to a ‘traditional’ publisher and it was a nightmare, luckily I was able to retain the rights and use this incredible service. Very much obliged to Debi for her work on the cover that just had to be right. Now I am waiting for my first copies and organizing a webite … I may be back for more help! Cheers!!

Many thanks to the FEDP staff. I was constantly surprised by the service and the distribution. Every time I googled my book, a new bookseller was listing it! Keep doing what you are doing – you guys are great. A real blessing to the publishing industry.

First Edition Design Publishing is the best in the business for all of your publishing needs. Every person that I have had the great pleasure to work with in each area or department has been a top-notch professional. Not only completely competent in what they do, but patient, always available to answer any questions you pose to them in a timely manner, always addressing the needs of each individual client, all with the client’s best interests in mind, and implimenting or even inventing what would make their clients vision even more appealing to the reader without diluting the mission but enhancing it instead. Although I became an author, I was technologically challenged, wrote all of my books out in longhand with pens (multiple) and cases of note pads. I utilized their services available on every level as they translated my hand written pages into digital masterpieces. Being born a perfectionist (sometimes a curse, sometimes a blessing) they tolerated and catered to my desire for perfection in all that I creatively birthed. And Bless their hearts; I know that was no easy task, grueling to say the least. But they always treated me with patience, respect and kindness that still brings a smile to my face as I think of each one of them fondly and even as extended family. I used nearly all of their provided services, can’t imagine what I would have done without the comprehensive services that they provide, would have not only been lost but would have given up my dream of what I felt I wanted and needed to accomplish. They are my dream makers! They were given my creative ideas and my mission and made them come to life even better than I could have ever imagined. I’m no artist, so they took my ideas and created the artwork, not just one possible choice, but several options, yet all my content not only still there but shining through. And to you Debi Gordon, my hero, who spent endless hours on her own time trying to figure out how this technologically challenged creature could most easily manage and host a website/blog that was of major importance for me to have an opportunity to be of service to help others. She did it without a magic wand; amazing! Then after endless exhaustive hours working on this project, she emails me, “I think I have an even better idea” and once again transformed the site into an improved creative masterpiece, so beautiful. And Debi, I want you to know that the website has helped many people, some of who contact me daily through my personal email for confidential reasons, thank you. And most important to all of their clients; they care about us as author’s. They listen to our dilemas as authors; they are keenly aware that as authors we do not write books to become rich; that just isn’t the case unless your name starts with “Steven” and ends in “King”. We invest alot of time and some money to bring these writings to the reader as a labor of love; as messages from the messenger. So FED fights for our royalty percentages with each distributor/vendor and minimizes the vendors inherent desire to discount our books to boost their sales, but leaves the author with very low royalty margins. And since the author is the last person on the “food chain” to get paid, we only get what is left after the price of the book is picked over by all the vultures wanting huge shares of the sale profit, FED fights for our royalty percentages so we get at least some profits at the end of the day. And if this is not yet enough, FED is always brainstorming in the proverbial ‘think tank’ on how to be better or add even more services; and it’s not all about them; it is about their clients. And always cheering you on, “You can do it” (can’t tell you how many late night pep-ralley’s they held for me). You are irreplaceable in my life, love you guys!!!! Junie Moon
