I’ve been pleased with the attention to detail and how smooth the overall process has been from start to finish. I Look forward to continued partnership and success for years to come.

I am so proud of this, (Musical Chairs, by Sheila Levin) but it wouldn’t be right not to share that without you two —as we all know that this would not be the book it is without Marci’s amazing editorial eye and Deb’s patience, with a smart-ass, slightly hostile and suspicious old lady writer. Whatever happens, I will, I can promise you, I will always be grateful.

Working with First Edition has been a top rate experience. This is my second book, and the first one I have published with FEDP and one which took many years to complete. I am filled with gratitude for the patience and responsiveness of the support team as I painstakingly worked my way through the checking and rechecking I was inclined to do given the thousands of hours I had in the book. I worked in magazine publishing for years and while I know the proofing process like the back of my hand, it was often the support team that was pointing out matters I should look at again before giving my book the final nod.
I am ever grateful to Jessica for all the hand-holding not to mention responses to my emails and questions at all hours. Her excitement about my pending reviews along with sharing launch giddiness gave me all the more childlike joy to get the book published. As for the cover, Deborah worked so collaboratively with my cover designer that we were able to make small tweaks as a team in record time.
I am truly delighted with First Edition Design Publishing and look forward to a very successful book launch.

I am a first time author, I wrote my book 10 years ago initially, I always knew someday though I would like to get it published. A couple times throughout the years I had even contacted a couple of agencies acquiring about getting it published. All that did was lead to harassing phone calls, almost every day. I then thought wow! they must really like the idea of my book, or they must really want my money. I am not going to lie going POD and having someone do your ebook is expensive so it is important to choose a company that will use that hard money you have made and make the most out of it. The cost was one of the reasons, I waited for so long to publish. Then this year, while taking a English class in college, we had to do a project and my group and I decided to come up with a picture children’s book, my group almost had to do nothing as the thoughts and ideas poured out of my head. After it was completed we submitted it , success! everyone loved it, and we all got an A on the project. everyone had said man, you should write children’s books. All I could say was, I did write a children’s book it’s just not published yet. That is really what made me want to be able to tell people I am a published children’s author. So I dived back into my book, I changed some things and rewrote some parts making my 10 year old story come to life once more. I then started the process of contacting Pod companies, and once again harassing phone calls. I had almost let one company talk me into going with them, but the lord had spoke to me and what he was telling me was to research more companies, that I should not go with the one I was choosing to go with. So I trusted my instincts and thoughts the lord was putting on my heart. Finding First Edition was no easy task to find. I had to look into a lot of POD reviewer websites, I would write down each company that had reviews with the highest stars, then I would go on a separate search, to see if I could find any complaints about that company.. through those searches I had discovered that the company that kept harassing me to publish was one of the worst on the reviews and had the least amount of stars, they also had so many negative reviews… I was on the right track. Finally, I came across a review that had First Edition at the top of its list. so I did a search on them. Low in Behold, I found no negative reviews, I even found a blog that someone had wrote while they were going through the process with First Edition. Although, other authors were telling the person be careful, and don’t go with a POD company this person stayed positive and stuck to their guns. the blog went on a period of about 4 months, and at the end of the blog the person had said thank you all for your concerns, I was right and I have received my book and I couldn’t of chosen a better company to go with. That was all I needed to hear, wow a real experience and she was still happy with the choice she made after still hearing negative ideas from the others. So I decided to give Debbi a call, after talking to her, I knew her company was the one I wanted to go with. I prayed about it before making my final decision and everything felt right. So we started the process. IM not going to lie and say every process was easy or didn’t have its challenges because it did. But, Jessica, Justin, and Dave all with their excellent feedback and responses to my complaints, were able to settle me down and handle those issues and get them resolved. At times I thought to myself wow, I am really being a pain in the Butt! a real Diva! about this, but then I had to think. No, I just know what I want and this book was my baby that I had held on to for 10 years. It didn’t matter as much as I was a pain in the butt, they never once made me feel that way. On many occasions, I would have one of those three Justin, Jessica, or Dave working with me in the live chat changing all the things I wanted and making things just right, to how I envisioned it. Even after all the bumps and the long road it took to get my book done. I agree and feel how that blogger had felt, I feel happy, satisfied and accomplished. I could not have made a better choice by choosing First Edition as my publishers. Now when I tell people I wrote a children’s book, I can finally say and it’s Published It’s called
Ferret Adventures
A ferret’s life, from a ferret’s point of view
in
Pet shop Mystery.

First Design published my eBook and then I decided to go for POD as well. Debi has been supportive, understanding, always friendly and accommodating and I have enjoyed excellent service. I really appreciate the guidance and help. My book, for Teenagers, Parents, teachers and mentors is in the form of a novel: Making a Difference – The Teacher-Mentor, the Kids and the M.A.D. Project. First Design is to be highly recommended 🙂 Robin Cox

There really are no words to thank you. You have restored my faith in myself as a writer, and that is worth everything to me.
If I write another book, I would come back to First Edition just to work with you as my editor. S.V.L.

When I finished writing my first book, and I was ready to publish it, I had no idea how overwhelming it was going to be. Honestly, had I known that, I am not sure I would have even started writing my book. I researched multiple publishing agencies, only to be more confused. Then I spoke with Deborah Gordon, from First Edition Design Publishing. She was a darling from the very first moment I spoke with her. She answered all of my questions, and never made me feel like she was trying to pressure me. She never ‘sugarcoated’ anything to make me choose her agency. Even when I called her multiple times to ensure that I got all the facts, she answered all of my questions patiently. Debi was very personable, and kind, and caring from the moment I spoke with her, and every time thereafter. It was refreshing, compared to the other agencies I spoke with. She is a darling and a saint. Thank you so very much for that. All of my fears, and feeling overwhelmed melted away.
Once she laid my book out in an actual book format, we got started on the book cover. Here is to the amazing cover designers. I would like to apologize for seeming difficult. I truly appreciate your amazing work, your patience, and being honest with me. Not only have you designed a cover art that I would never have imagined, but you have designed something that is truly special, unique and far better than what I would have ever come up with. Thank you all for your great work and care.
Debi was so sweet when all was said and done, and I kept asking her if we were done, and she ensured me that we were. She stayed on the phone with me, and said, “Let us count to three, and you are going to reply approved”. It was the push that I needed. If it were not for her, and her team, my book, ‘IUSTUS’, would have never been published. Thank you all for everything that you have done. Once my second book is completed, I will have no fears, I have my team from First Edition Design Publishing by my side.

First Edition designed the cover for my romance novel and hit it out of the park. The very first general concept they gave me was fantastic and we went from there. It required only a few minor tweaks and the whole process was very speedy and professional. Justin from the design team made every adjustment quickly and precisely. I couldn’t be happier and will absolutely be using First Edition for the next cover and other promotional services.

I have Published my book through , First Edition Design Publishing. I am a first time author with absolutely no idea on any of the processes involved in Publishing. The expert team of First Edition Design made it easy and painless.
My book has only been available for a week and has already opened many doors to opportunities for me to get my book and my message to a great number of people. This I believe I owe to the cover art and the way First Edition marketed it.
My book is called, A True Story…how I survived my life with a Psychopath.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the amazing staff at First Edition Design Publishing, I could not have done this without you.

I am the first time writer of the book entitled, “Young, Wise and Kick-S”….
It took me 3 months to decide which POD company I could trust my book with and I finally decided to go with First Edition Design. I like the fact that they did not push the sale too much like some of the POD companies 🙂
I enjoyed working with the team including Justin. I was wowed by the attention the team paid to the book, especially the cover design. The way they worked around the product showed great care.
It felt good to know that they weren’t just a business but they cared about my book. For this reason, I’d recommend First Edition to any author who would like to use a POD company that is not just in the business of making money but cares about the work done by the author. Good luck
